SANTA ROSA, Laguna—City Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas, together with City Social Welfare Department Head Judith Hasil, has inaugurated the city’s very own Women and Children Crisis Center earlier at Brgy. Sinalhan here.
The crisis center is one of the social welfare facilities in the city that caters to women and children in crisis situation, mostly victims of violence, abuses, exploitation, trafficking, and the like.
The facility, which is solely funded by the city government, is a two-story building that has a multi-purpose hall where all the activities such as livelihood, training, and sports for women and children are conducted.
It operates 24/7 and is manned by social workers, nurses, psychologists, and house parents employed by the city government.
Currently, 12 minor females are under the care of the crisis center.
