Former actor Royette Padilla, brother of actors Robin Padilla, Rommel Padilla, and BB Gandanghari, has died. He was 58.
Royette is also the uncle of Daniel Padilla, Bella Padilla, and Kylie Padilla.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, his sister Rebecca confirmed the death of the former actor who appeared in films Di Na Natuto (1993), Mistah (1994), Buhay Kamao (2001), and Alab ng Lahi (2003).
“Please whisper a prayer for our brother Royette Padilla. A silent prayer for his eternal peace, please,” Rebecca said in her social media post.
In the 1990s, the former actor made headlines when he declared himself to be a “brigadier general” of a group dubbed the H-World United Nations Philippine Military Government International Police Commission.
Apart from Rebecca’s post, the other members of the Padilla clan have yet to post about the death of Royette.
The family did not confirm the cause of Royette’s demise but a report on Pep.ph mentioned that the former actor died of a heart attack.
