Clark Freeport—Clark Development Corporation president and CEO Noel Manankil stepped down on Thursday after more than four years of leading this government-owned and -controlled corporation, said Noel Tulabot, the manager of the Media Relations Office.

“The CDC management group is saddened by this development,” said Tulabot, adding that Vice President for Administrative and Finance Mariza Mandocdoc had been designated officer-in-charge.

Mandocdoc’s appointment was issued by CDC Chairman Jose De Jesus on Oct. 22.

Mandocdoc replaced Manankil after he filed his irrevocable resignation, and will remain in her post until a new CDC president is appointed.

Manankil retired from the government service in 2015. He was picked by Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade who took over the cabinet position in 2016, or shortly after President Rodrigo Duterte won the national elections.
