PH Resorts Group Holdings Inc., the listed gaming and hospitality firm of businessman Dennis Uy, expects to open its first casino by the second quarter of 2022. The project was originally targeted to open in 2020.
PH Resorts chief operating officer Jose Angel Sueiro said the company was working towards the completion of the first phase of Emerald Bay Resort and Casino in Mactan, Cebu despite the current challenges brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.
“Despite the challenges of COVID-19, we are diligently working on the completion of the first phase of Emerald Bay by the second quarter of 2022. Our team continues working to ensure to reduce project costs without sacrificing quality. Our focus is getting Emerald Bay to open on time without cutting corners,” Sueiro said in a disclosure to the stock exchange.
