With the issuance of a quarantine pass to farmer-beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, they are now capable of earning a living and sustain food sufficiency despite the enhanced community quarantine.

In a statement, the Department of Agrarian Reform on Sunday cited a Laguna farmer, Lorenza Abaño, who was issued a quarantine pass to allow her as well as fellow farmers to distribute and sell her agricultural produce in affected areas of the lockdown.

“The quarantine accreditation pass has been a great help and enabled us to continue making a living for our family, by selling our agricultural products in areas affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ),” said Abaño, 54, of Barangay Alipit, Magdalena, Laguna.

She is the chairperson of the Pangkat Magsasaka ng Alipit and member of the Provincial Agrarian Reform Coordinating Committee.
