GMA Network Inc. and Light Rail Manila Corp. said they will provide financial assistance to their employees amid the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon to fight the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.
The broadcasting network said all employees would get their full salaries and the cash equivalent of rice benefits. “These are on top of the year-round medicine allowance and health card benefits accorded to all regular employees and their eligible dependents,” it said.
It said talents and project employees would also receive their salaries on March 25 and 30, respectively. In addition, a cash advance will be made available for them for their April 10 and 15 pay-outs.
LRMC, the operator of LRT Line 1, said it would provide employees, train station tenants, concessionaires and frontliners with financial and transportation assistance and other benefits. It said that as part of the assistance plan, its management would release employees’ midyear bonus in advance, on top of continued disbursement of their salaries.
“Employees’ vacation and sick leaves will remain intact as they will not be forced to take them during the quarantine period, while medical loan facilities will also remain available,” LRMC said.
