The ongoing exhibition “Designing the Colors of the Signs of the Times: The Color of Courage and Fear” paints an aspect of the current socio-political landscape of the country through the portraits of Senator Leila De Lima, former Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, and Rappler’s Maria Ressa.
According to the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, it features a “collection of large-scale artworks of the valiant women who fought for their rights. It exudes the concepts of courage and fear through the vocabulary and rudiments of colors and the abilities to identify the hue, value, and intensity.”
The pieces on display were produced by the young student-artists from the college’s Fashion Design and Merchandising Program, who have honed their color rendering skills under the guidance of artist-educator Ramon Manuel De Leon.
Designing the Colors of the Signs of the Times: The Color of Courage and Fear is open to the general public until April 18 at the De La Salle University College of Law, Rufino Campus, 38th Street Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
