It’s just the start of the year but Myrtle Sarrosa’s plate is already full. And you bet, she’s only just warming up.
We met with the 25-year-old actress last month when she was introduced as the newest brand ambassador of Nouve Eau De Toilette fragrance collection. Talking to the crowd present at the venue, she said, “Oh, what a great way to start the year.”
“You know, scents and perfumes make me feel dynamic. They set my mood, they make me feel confident, at the same time, they make me remember people. Yes, based on their scent,” Myrtle told Manila Standard during the open forum.
Her being particular to someone’s scent probably was the reason why Nouve PH by Phina Livewell Solutions, one of the fastest-growing personal care companies in the Philippines, tapped her to be the face for the brand. But we later knew, its really her personality that sealed the deal.
“I’ve been in the industry since 2012 and I›ve been so blessed to be trusted by different brands but this partnership with Nouve is very special to me. I am a fan of their scents and I am so ecstatic to share their line with everyone,” shared Myrtle on her newest endorsement.
Enjoying the various scents from Nouve, the former PBB Teen Big Winner also shared how the perfume jives with her everyday lifestyle.
“To me everyday is different. I enjoy creating different looks and styles all the time. Sometimes I wanna go out full glamourous. Sometimes I wanna just look really simple. Sometimes we want to explore a new and different look and that›s why I love the various scents of Nouve. You can have a different scent every day depending on your style, mood and catch people’s eye with the perfect scent.”
With Nouve, Myrtle looks forward to an exciting 2020. After top-billing three movies last year, she will soon be busy with projects on the big and small screen.
“Last year, I was able to top bill three films in the box office. This year, I have a new set of movies and projects that are lined up that I still can’t disclose,” she revealed.
Gamer and cosplay queen
Myrtle is also busy with her other hobbies including cosplaying and gaming.
“When I am not on the film set or on stage performing, I cosplay and enjoy playing (video) games. I’m lucky to get the chance to play with friends and interact with people through my streams and through games,” she shared.
In an interview with Manila Standard during a separate event for Smart Communications (Smart Siklab Saya), she mentioned that she has collected more than 200 costumes since she started cosplaying more than ten years ago.
“I want to inspire people with the costume I wear. I want them to know that they can portray any character they want. With cosplay, you can be creative and there’s no limit to what you can do when you want to express yourself in that manner,” she said.
During the Smart Skill Saya, which featured interactive booths and fun activities for fans, such as Virtual Reality games, a Cosplay competition, exciting challenges, and quizzes for a chance to win premium items, Myrtle shared her passion for cosplaying and gaming with event participants.
“It’s the most epic Mobile Legends event in the Philippines, Smart Siklab Saya is the biggest nationwide gathering and tournament for gamers and fans of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. And I’m happy to be here knowing that there are so many people who share the same passion,” she continued.
The event reinforced Smart’s longstanding efforts to support Filipino gamers by providing the best gaming events and fan experiences, powered by the country’s fastest LTE network, as certified by internet testing leader Ookla.
Prior to the first NCR leg held at SM Megamall Megatrade Hall, Smart Siklab Saya has gathered gamers in key cities including Bacolod, Olongapo, and Tuguegarao.
Hundreds of gamers and fans trooped to the first Smart Siklab Saya to celebrate the game and root for the best players in the metro. Using good draft picks and a dominant early game showing, Team “Work” finally edged out Team ‘Mahal Kita,’ 2-0, and emerged as the victor of the much-anticipated leg. As second placer, Team ‘Mahal Kita’ took home P500,000, while third placer Team ‘Letmaku’ bagged P200,000.
Apart from the matches, Smart Siklab Saya gave fans opportunity to mingle with other famous streamers like Akosi Dogie, Chixmiss, Fhrea Jaimil, Inzaiplays, and Choox TV. The Mobile Legends Sibol team, the first Filipino gold medalists in SEA Games esports, also competed in an exhibition game.
