The much-anticipated movie “EDJOP” has released its teaser, offering a glimpse into what promises to be an exciting cinematic experience for film enthusiasts and history buffs.
In a tweet posted on its X account, the 43-second clip shows Asian Academy Creative Awards winner Jodi Sta. Maria visibly emotional while driving, recalling the days of the Martial Law declaration.
The teaser concludes with a closer shot of young actor Elijah Canlas who is set to portray the role of Filipino activist Edgardo Gil Mirasol Jopson.
The film delves into the life and legacy of student leader Edgar Jopson, known as Edjop. Despite being scorned by Marcos as the “son of a grocer,” the young “Edjop” spearheaded the student movement that ignited the historic First Quarter Storm.
Elijah and Jodi will be joined by the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 Best Actor Cedrick Juan.
