Toni Gonzaga and Pepe Herrera dazzled on the red carpet at SM Megamall Cinemas for the premiere of the local adaptation of My Sassy Girl.
Toni, who is making a movie comeback, turned heads in a black velvet gown with a daring high slit, while her leading man, Pepe, looked sharp in a charcoal gray suit.
Directed by Fifth Solomon, the film, co-produced by TinCan Films and Viva Films, hits cinemas nationwide today, Jan. 31. The star-studded cast includes Yayo Aguila, Alma Moreno, Benj Manalo, Bodjie Pascua, Boboy Garrovillo, and the late Joey Paras.
The adaptation, which was shot in 2020, aims to capture the magic of the 2001 blockbuster, which was once South Korea’s highest-grossing comedy and among the top five highest-grossing films ever. My Sassy Girl originally starring Jun Ji-hyun and Cha Tae-hyun became a cultural phenomenon with its heartwarming and humorous narrative.
