Coach Richard Del Rosario was introduced as an addition to the coaching staff of the new head bench tactician of Perpetual Altas, Coach Olsen Racela at the home of the Altas gym in University of Perpetual Help System Dalta (UPHSD) main campus here in Barangay Pamplona III on Monday.
Racela presented Del Rosario as his 1st assistant coach for the upcoming National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 100, which begins in September 2024.
Completing the Barangay Perpetual Altas coaching staff are Joshua Del Rosario, Jam Lipae, assistant team manager and Perpetual Altas alumni Scottie Thompson of the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Gin Kings, together with Gerald Dizon, Junior Altas head coach Joph Cleopas and former head coach Myk Saguiguit.
“This will be my coaching staff corps, we are now starting practice and conditioning with the help of our team manager Boss Anton Tamayo and Team owner Boss Tony Tamayo,” coach Olsen Racela said.
“I like what am seeing, maraming material players and I like the program from high school to college, headed by coach Joph and coach Myk. I see a lot of potential players from HS to the seniors’ team. Maganda ang lineup and I really am hoping to compete tayo this coming NCAA season,” Racela added.
Racela formally started as the head coach of the Las Piñas-city based cagers on January 11, 2024 after signing a contract with Perpetual and meeting the players of Team A and Team B for the first time
.The Perpetual Altas fell short in the Final Four of Season 98 and placed 5th with a 10-8 card.
