Seaman 1st Class (SN1) Edgar Fabreo alerted the Coast Guard substation (CGSS) of San Francisco Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 16, and immediately conducted a search and rescue operation, according to an incident report released by PCG on Sunday, Jan. 21.

Fabreo and CGSS Francisco received assistance from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of Camotes Island to bring the distraught individual back to safety.

Based on their investigation, the man was identified as a resident of Sitio San Martin, Brgy. San Isidro in San Francisco, Cebu. He was reportedly dealing with family problems.
