The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is making an unprecedented collaboration with esteemed private partners to further boost the simultaneous staging of the 2023 Batang Pinoy (BP) and Philippine National Games (PNG), which opens on December 17.

In a groundbreaking move, the PSC has joined forces with staple partners Milo Philippines and Otsuka Solar-Pocari Sweat, together with the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), PLDT and Smart Communications, Grab, Chooks To Go, and Shakey’s Philippines to bring forth an exceptional edition of PSC’s premier grassroots sports development programs.

“This collaboration is a testament to our commitment in nurturing the next generation of athletes. With the combined efforts of the PSC and our esteemed private partners, we are confident that the games will leave a lasting legacy, inspiring athletes and fans alike,” said PSC Chairman Richard Bachmann.

“As a former athlete, I am delighted with the overwhelming support from our private sectors in helping us elevate the playing field of our future national stars,” he added.

Sponsorship assistance has been received by the PSC from these multiple partners for this year’s hosting, which will feature 25 sports disciplines and participated by nearly 18,000 athletes combined.

The collaboration is expected to enhance the scale and scope of the tournament, and will also introduce innovative elements to engage audiences and delegates alike.

The PSC also expressed its thanks to the De La Salle University, DragonSmash Makati, SM Mall of Asia, Ayala Malls, and the PNVF Sand Courts for lending their facilities to serve as competition venues of futsal, badminton, dancesport, arnis, pencak silat and table tennis, and beach volleyball, respectively.

“The infusion of private sector expertises, resources, and support will definitely contribute to creating a more immersive and memorable experience in every competition venue and billeting areas from start to finish,” said Executive Director Paulo Tatad.
