Caloocan gains 7th consecutive SGLG award from DILG

Mayor Along pledges to continue good governance initiatives

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) conferred the seventh consecutive Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) to the City Government of Caloocan for its continued excellence in implementing impactful projects for its constituents.

The SGLG focuses on ten areas including financial administration, health, education, business-friendliness, disaster preparedness, and safety, peace, and order as indicators of good governance in local government units.

City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan congratulated the city government and his constituents for the SGLG recognition while expressing his commitment to continue improving city services mainly for the benefit of Caloocan residents.

Aside from the SGLG, the city government has previously received other awards this year for its various projects, including the 2023 Gawad Kalasag for disaster preparedness and the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance.
