LGU, stakeholders sign Meycauayan River clean-up MOA

Mayor Henry Villarica signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) of the “Adopt-a-Waterbody Program within Meycauayan River System and its tributaries” with 47 private companies, 26 barangays, the Department of Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Interior Local Government (DILG) and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the agreement to raise the quality of water in the Meycauayan lake today, December 5, 2023 at the City of Meycauayan Convention Center.

In the 12.9-kilometer stretch of the river, each program member is responsible for cleaning their part of the estuary or conducting a clean-up drive. Besides increasing the water quality, it will also prevent flooding in the city.

Program stakeholders approved the Action Plan last Oct. 16, 2023. Inc.; Best Print Finishing Corp.; Liquigaz Philippines Corp.; Silvertides Holdings Corp; San Miguel Aerocity Inc.; TAISEI DMCI Joint Venture; D.M.
