Mutya Ng Pilipinas bags two titles in Malaysia

Mutya ng Pilipinas Jeanette Reyes secured a back-to-back wins for the Philippines at the 26th Miss Tourism International 2023 World Final held on November 25 in Sabah, Malaysia. 

Reyes was crowned Miss Tourism International 2023 title and also won the Miss South East Asia Tourism Ambassadress 2023/2024 special award. 

Reyes is a 25-year-old Communication graduate, a flight attendant, and a member of the Philippine Coast Guard with reserve auxiliary rank. 

Miss Thailand  Tia Li Taveepanichpan  snared the top title, while United Kingdom’s  Emily Cossey  was named Miss Tourism Queen of The Year International 2023/24. 

Malaysia’s  Jen Cheang Shi Hui  bagged the title of Miss Tourism Cosmopolitan International 2023/24; while Australia’s  Karlee Davis  won Miss Tourism Global 2023/24.

Star-studded 3rd  ASEAN Excellence Achievers Awards 2023 held

The ASEAN Excellence Achievers Awards, one of the most prestigious and credible award-giving bodies in the country, was successfully held recently at Okada Manila.

The star-studded, red-carpet awards ceremony took the spotlight during the unveiling of the  Celebrity CEO Magazine’s 2nd edition, which featured the outstanding contributions of the ASEAN awardees in their respective fields, continuing the international magazine’s goal to inspire and empower the next generation of business leaders.

Among the celebrity awardees were  Boy Abunda, Cory Quirino, Christopher de Leon, Gladys Reyes, Christopher Roxas, and Miss Universe Philippines 2023  Michelle Dee.

The ASEAN Excellence Achievers Awards is headed by  Bennilyn-Amigo Molina.

A grand display of floats and beauties 

A festive float competition highlighted the ‘Grandiosa sa Brother Barangay Ekstrabagansa’ 2023 event, held in Brgy. Mauway, in Mandaluyong City on Monday. 

The parade of elaborately decorated carriages and their lovely queens, was a joint project initiative of Barangay Mauway Chairman  Froilo Achilles L. Evangelista, and Barangay Pleasant Hills Chairman  Renz V. Evangelista, in celebration of the Feast Day of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal.

Reyna ng Pulilan Samviktoria Acosta and Antonette Acosta graced the festival event which culminated with the announcement of the winners in two categories. 

The Best in Carosa 1st Place winner was Carosa No. 20 of Block 5 Homeowners Association with the theme Fairy and Flowers. Second Place was Carosa No. 19 of Block 2 Homeowners Association with the theme Great Warrior, and 3rd Place was Carosa No. 16 of Purok 3 Homeowners Association with the theme Carabao.

In the Best in Grandiosa category, the winners were First Place- Goddess of Sea (Carosa No. 22 of Purok 2); Second Place- Carabao (Carosa No. 16, Purok 3); and Third Place- Barbie (Carosa No. 6 of Isla Homeowners Association). The Most Organized special award was won by Carosa No. 20 of Block 5 Homeowners Association.
