Kathryn Bernardo has finally confirmed her breakup with longtime boyfriend Daniel Padilla.
In an emotional statement released on her Instagram, Kathryn expressed her sentiments and gratitude for the 11 years they shared together.
“Chapter closed. I hope this finally helps all of us move forward,” said the Kapamilya actress.
“I promised to never lose myself in this industry, so I’ve always been as authentic to you as I can be,” she started.
The “A Very Good Girl” star also revealed that she was aware of the issue circulating online about the involvement of young star Andrea Brillantes.
“I know what many of you are thinking right now. I’m well aware of the rumors and speculations going around, and as hard as it is to put everything into words,” Kathryn wrote.
Kathryn then confirmed the news saying, I want you to hear it straight from me: It’s true that Deej and I have decided to part ways.”
Minutes after, Daniel also took to Instagram to confirm the breakup, writing, “Our lives may drift away, but our love will still ride that tide.”
Kathryn and Daniel have been together after the successful of their love team that bloomed twelve years ago.
The couple was one of the most popular and beloved in the country, and their relationship was closely followed by millions of fans.
Despite the painful breakup, both Bernardo and Padilla had expressed their love for each other.
“Deej, you gave me 11 beautiful years and the kind of love that I will forever cherish. I will always be grateful for you,” wrote Kathryn.
Padilla echoed Bernardo’s sentiment, saying, “Bal, ang pagmamahal ko sa’yo ay walang hanggan at walang katapusan,” wrote Daniel.
