Lee Junho makes successful return to Manila after 10 years

Lee Junho, the talented singer-actor who captivated Filipino hearts as a member of the K-pop group  2PM, made a triumphant return to the Philippines last week with his  Junho The Moment  fanmeeting tour. The highly anticipated event took place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on November 11, marking a decade since his last visit to the country.

The atmosphere at the MOA Arena was electric as Junho’s fans eagerly awaited his appearance. The anticipation reached its peak when the lights dimmed, the screens flashed the opening video, and the 33-year-old Korean artist finally emerged onto the stage. The deafening roar of the crowd drowned out all other sounds, a testament to the enduring popularity of Lee Junho.

Junho wasted no time in showcasing his musical prowess, launching into back-to-back performances of “Nobody Else” and “Canvas.” These electrifying performances served as a powerful reminder that Junho is not just an actor but also a gifted singer who commands the stage with his charisma and talent.

During the press conference held the day before the fanmeeting, Junho expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his Filipino fans and those of 2PM for their unwavering support throughout the years. He acknowledged the patience they had shown in waiting for his return and promised to visit the Philippines more often in the future.

True to his word, Junho showered his fans with love and affection throughout the fanmeeting. He engaged in playful interactions, stepping off the stage to mingle with the crowd and even engaging in a staring contest with one lucky fan. He fulfilled a daughter’s wish by taking a photo with her mother, and he melted hearts with his adorable heart poses displayed on a split screen.

To further connect with his Filipino audience, Junho greeted them in Tagalog, saying, “Maligayang pagdating sa aking pinakaunang  fan meeting tour (Welcome to my first fan meeting tour). I’m so happy to be in Manila after such a long time.”

A highlight of the evening was Junho’s rendition of the popular local heartbreak anthem “Imahe” by  Magnus Haven. He sang the song with such passion and emotion that the crowd erupted in cheers. He even performed it twice, demonstrating his dedication to delivering an unforgettable experience for his fans.

The two-hour fanmeeting transformed into a mini-concert as Junho continued to captivate the audience with his performances of “Can I,” “DSMN,” and 2PM’s hit song “Zero Point.” He concluded the show on a high note with “Ride Up,” leaving the crowd buzzing with excitement and longing for more.

“I didn’t expect that the Philippines would be this passionate. It’s been 10 years since I’ve been here. Thank you so much for being consistent,” said Junho.

“Because of the big love and energy you’ve given to me, I always think I have to repay this love that I receive for you guys. I hope that these times that we spent together would be a happy memory for you,” he ended.
