Police have confirmed that DNA in hair strands and blood samples found in an abandoned vehicle in Batangas matched that of DNA samples collected from the family of missing beauty queen Catherine Camilon.
Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Director Police Major General Romeo Caramat Jr. also told ABS-CBN News that the charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention against Police Major Allan De Castro and two others will remain until they find Camilon.
“This says that what the witnesses said when they saw Camilon being lifted from the car is positive. It confirmed that they saw Miss Camilon,” Caramat added. Meanwhile, PNP Forensic Group public information officer Police Major Rodrigo Sotero Jr. said. the DNA results will be presented to the media if the official report is released today.
