Las Piñas ushers in new era of leadership with oath taking of elected barangay, SK officials

The City of Las Piñas hosted the oath-taking ceremony for newly-elected barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023. 

City Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar presided over the event, administering the oath to the incoming officials, who solemnly pledged to uphold their duties with integrity and dedication and charged them with a clear directive: to support the City of Las Piñas through dedicated service and strategic programs.

In an interview, Barangay Captain Robert Villalon of Barangay Pamplona Dos said Mayor Aguilar’s vision was for them to uphold the city’s agenda through planned programs.

“We have several programs planned for ohr barangay, including strengthening Solid Waste Management, rehabilitating our fire station, and strengthening barangay basic institutions,” he said in Filipino.

Villalon also underscored the necessity of cooperation from the constituents.

“We cannot run the barangay without the collective cooperation of our barangay members,” he added.

Captain Josefina Bumanlag of Barangay Talon Singko expressed her dedication to providing quality service and to continuing the development projects promised to their constituents, ensuring that the pledges made during their campaigns would be brought to fruition.
