Angkas, the pioneering motorcycle ride-hailing service in the country, rolled out initiatives to augment their rider partners’ supplemental income.

The motorcycle taxi company launched“Angkas Weekend Market” in partnership with SariSuki to fuel Biker Marketplace.

The weekend market offers a wide range of products from their partner riders and their families aimed at providing additional livelihood opportunities.

It also serves as a platform for the broader community to access high-quality goods at attractive prices and discounts.

Angkas said it is extending its support by offering riders and their wives free use of stalls to sell their products.

The initiative not only empowers the riders of Angkas by allowing them to enhance brand recognition for their products but also enables them to reach a supportive local customer base.

“With the holiday season fast approaching, we encourage the community to support our riders and their families by exploring their unique offerings at this weekend market,”said George Royeca, chief executive of Angkas.

“By making a purchase, you’re not only acquiring unique items and tasting delicious food but also contributing to the local economy, supporting these small-scale entrepreneurs,” he said.

The Angkas Weekend Market is scheduled on select weekends from Nov. 19 to Dec. 31, 2023 at the Angkas Cainta Office.

“We’ve always positioned Angkas as a company that riders can trust and a place where they feel supported,” Royeca said.

“Our unwavering commitment is to ensure they feel fulfilled, valued, and integral to the success of the company,” he said. Angkas has over eight million app downloads and a network of 50,000 biker-partners.
