Gear Up for the Grand Finale: Inaugural TGR Vios Cup Grand Prix to conclude 2023 season

Toyota Motor Philippines is revving up the excitement with the introduction of the Grand Prix, concluding the thrilling TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) Vios Cup 2023 season this Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga.

Get ready for a historic weekend filled with electrifying cheers and heart-thumping action as racers compete fiercely for podium positions in the season championship. The Grand Prix, serving as the highlight of the Circuit Championship, promises to elevate the energy to new heights.

The TGR Vios Cup Grand Prix is the ultimate race before the season champions are crowned. Each driver will navigate the race track for 1.5 hours, and the racer with the most laps completed will emerge victorious. This endurance drive is a decisive race, offering double points for each participating racer.

A total of 30 racers from three classes—Super Sporting, Sporting, and Promotional—will line up on the grid simultaneously, each facing a mandatory pitstop that adds an extra layer of thrill and excitement to the competition.
The weekend will sizzle with the presence of Super Sporting class racing stars, including Red Diwa, Lord Seno, Joaquin Garrido, Gerard Loy, Troy Montero, John Dizon, Bryan Co, Royce Sarmiento, Ian Rosales, and season newcomer Jacob Ang.

In the Sporting class, a mix of pro and neophyte racers, such as Alan Palacios, Russel Cabrera, Michael Keilani Jordan, Jay Lai, Bern Corpino, Marky Young, Maila Alivia, and the father-son duo Darrell Garbes and Jiro Garbes, will vie for victory. Golden Wheel Awards Foundation Driver of the Year Miguel Quiñones will also join the race.

Promotional class contenders include Jarond Mesina, Alain Alzona, Bong Garbes, Paolo Ayo, Chris Gleeson, Rich Lim, Paul Ang, and celebrities Enzo Pineda, Ryan Agoncillo, and Julia Delos Angeles.

Keep an eye out for crowd favorites Macoy Dubs, Megan Young, and Benedict Cua as they bring excitement and competition to the Autocross Challenge. Joining them are a diverse mix of racers, including Ezra Domingo, Genesis Redido, Apple David, Arianne Bautista, Reph Bangsil, Migy Romulo, Bianca Yao, Carla Lizardo, and Lexi Mendiola.

The event will kick off with a drifting exhibition featuring TGR Team’s Ryan Agoncillo and Filipino pride racers Luis Gono and Alex Perez. TGR Vios Cup media class alums Jamil Lacuna and Pablo Salapantan will make a return in an exhibition Autocross Challenge with former media class champion Jose Altoveros.

Ignite the GAZOO spirit by checking out the GR-S lineup featuring Fortuner GR-S and Rush GR-S at the TGR Vios Cup 2023 activity area. Sponsors have also prepared various games and activities for the audience to enjoy. The heart-pounding excitement will conclude with an electrifying performance by up-and-coming indie band Sunkissed Lola.
