AirAsia Philippines said Tuesday it achieved 90 percent of its target seats sold for 2023, with an average load factor of 92 percent.

This was driven by positive indicators in the fourth-quarter sales.  The airline aims to surpass its 2022 performance by 60.07 percent.

It said that having the longest Christmas and New Year celebrations in the world, this year’s holiday in the Philippines is expected to draw 125,000 daily passengers from mid-December 2023 until early January 2024.

“Historically, guests, especially those traveling in groups such as families and groups of friends, book their flights 30 to 45 days earlier than their target travel dates. AirAsia is giving our guests more options to plan their year-end flights and activities. Lower ticket prices are also an advantage of booking flights early,” said AirAsia chief executive Ricky Isla.

The airline launched its Ready, Set, Go 11.11 sale, offering one-way base fares from as low as P91 for domestic destinations and from P511 to P2,911 for international flights from Nov. 6 to 12 for travel the period of Nov. 6, 2023, to April 30, 2024.
