Grab Philippines said Monday it strengthened its partnership with the two government-affiliated social protection agencies as part of its commitment to safeguarding the welfare of driver partners.

“We continue to recognize the hard work and dedication of our driver-partners as they ply busy thoroughfares daily just to ensure a better future for their families. Their aspirations realized and goals met inspire us to relentlessly develop impactful engagement programs that are tailored to enhance diverse aspects of their lifestyle,” Grab central operations head CJ Lacsican said.

Grab invited key partners from the Social Security System (SSS) and Pag-IBIG Fund to motivate them to register as members of the agencies as part of its commitment to safeguarding driver welfare.

Grab recently organized Grab Family Wellness Fair for its driver-partners at the Metrotent in Pasig City.

The event was geared at educating the community on the importance of adopting a healthier lifestyle and featured an array of free health services and engaging knowledge-sharing sessions.

“In our recent wellness fair, we zeroed in on proper nutrition, effective stress management, preventive care and social protection because we want to help them prioritize their own wellbeing, which is often overlooked due to the demanding nature of their livelihoods on the road,” Lacsican said.

Grab said it also continues to create avenues for driver-partners to acquaint themselves with the available programs and services intended to help them create a stronger safety net for themselves and their families.

“We at Pag-IBIG Fund do all that we can to ensure that access to our benefits and programs remain inclusive. That is why we are happy that Grab PH shares our goal of improving the lives of their driver-partners by helping them gain social protection through Pag-IBIG Fund membership,” Pag-IBIG Fund deputy chief executive for member services Alexander Hilario Aguilar said.

“In fact, thousands of Grab PH driver-partners have already registered as Pag-IBIG members, and now have secure savings and access to our home loan programs. We expect this to further rise in the coming months as we continue to strengthen our partnership,” Aguilar said.

Grab also has dedicated booths for SSS and Pag-IBIG fund in its partner center, ensuring that existing and aspiring driver-partners can easily connect with representatives from the agencies for queries and registration.
