Barbie Forteza  and  David Licauco  found themselves both elated and challenged as they took on the lead roles in the television remake of  Maging Sino Ka Man, a 1991 mega-blockbuster originally starring  Sharon Cuneta  and  Robin Padilla.

David acknowledged the enormity of his task, saying, “Breathing life into the character of Carding is definitely a big shoe to fill. It’s a huge challenge, but I just don’t let myself be affected. What I do is I just try to live the moment.”

He understood that feeling pressured would only lead to anxiety and added, “When you feel the pressure, you might just get anxious. So, for me, I just stay in the moment.”

David also found comfort in sharing the screen once again with Barbie after their highly successful soap,  Maria Clara at Ibarra. He explained, “Working alongside her, the job becomes easier. This is due to our familiarity with each other. I’m used to sharing the frame with her. She helps me in a lot of our scenes together.”

Meanwhile, Barbie also faced her share of challenges, including action scenes, in her role as Monique. She noted, “The role of Monique is not only emotionally but physically demanding as well. You have to be ready to do action sequences.”

Interestingly, the petite actress admitted to being clumsy in real life, making the role even more challenging. She emphasized, “That’s why the role is challenging for me. I’m not used to doing action scenes, but here, I must deliver since the role calls for it.”

Switching gears,  Julia Barretto  dismissed rumors of a secret marriage between her and boyfriend  Gerald Anderson. She firmly stated, “Oh, no! There’s nothing like that. That’s not true! There’s no secret. It’s so hard to keep secrets these days when news spread quickly.”

Julia saw no rush to get married and emphasized that their happiness together was the most important thing. She remarked, “What’s important is that Gerald and I are happy with each other at this point. We’re just really happy where we are in life right now. Marriage is something to look forward to. I don’t know why the public are hurrying us to tie the knots.”

She also believed that the timing of sharing such news should be left to the couple. Julia said, “I don’t think it’s something that should be asked constantly. I feel like, when the time comes, it comes. As I’ve said, I don’t know why everybody is rushing us. You’ll just find out one day.”
