CONSTITUTIONALIST Florangel Rosario Braid will launch her latest book today at the Gabaldon Room of Club Filipino in San Juan City, the
Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication said.

Titled “Tagpo: Right Place, Right Time” chronicles the life story of the 92-year-old Dagupan City-born writer, educator, painter, and pioneer of communication and media.

Dr. Braid, an alumna of Syracuse University in New York, co-founded the graduate school Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication in
1980 before she was appointed by then President Corazon Aquino to help frame the 1987 Constitution with 47 others.

The book chronicles her personal and academic journey, highlighting her involvement in national and international initiatives, where she
found herself not only in the right place and at the right time but also at the cusp of every breakthrough, AIJC said in a statement.

The book includes a bonus chapter on AIJC’s history, milestones, and publications that can be used as a reference by journalism and
communication students, educators, and professionals.

AIJC said the autobiography is a testament to Braid’s dedication, passion, and vision as a leader, scholar, and advocate for peaceful
and meaningful change.

Her publications include over a dozen books on communication, information technology, continuing education, cooperatives, and
sustainable development and several journals on public broadcasting.

She has been a regular columnist for an English language broadsheet since 1997.

Proceeds from the sales of the book will contribute to a scholarship fund for underprivileged youth and community journalists who wish to
pursue a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Journalism or Master of Arts in Journalism.

Books will be sold at the launch event. Each book is P1,900. The launch time is 4 pm to 8 pm.
