As Cebu Pacific Air removes the expiration of the travel fund of its customers, Senator Nancy Binay believes this move will regain the trust of the public in the airline.
“I believe this is a step in the right direction to earn back the trust of the public and resolve the errors experienced by our passengers,” Binay said in a statement.
The senator stressed that the safety and convenience of passengers should always be the top priority.
“It’s good that the airline has answered what can be done by passengers when there are flight disruptions. I hope they can also fix their hotlines and customer service (programs),” she added.
Passengers who have suffered flight operations disruptions can now take advantage of two-way travel coupons for flights canceled within 72 hours, and one-way travel vouchers for flights delayed for four to six hours, according to Cebu Pacific.
According to CEB, this latest effort demonstrates their dedication to listening to its customers and adapting its services to meet their changing travel demands.
In a recent national survey done by Vox Populi, respondents were asked whether delays and cancellations happen often with only one particular airline, 82% said that “it is experienced of all of the airline companies.” This is eight out of 10 respondents.
Respondents were also asked if they will travel again, if they “will still ride Cebu Pacific or choose other airlines.” Eighty-four percent responded that they “will still ride Cebu Pacific,” while 16% responded “with the other airline.” That’s eight out of 10 consistent with the opinion that delays and cancellations are “experienced with all of the airline companies.”
When those who replied of flying again with Cebu Pacific were asked with a follow-up question as to their reason, 84% cited “affordability” as the primary reason. Their answers are summed up as “cheaper and more affordable fares.” #
