A total of 96 beneficiaries recently received “negosyong bigasan” (rice business) packages from the City Government of Caloocan as part of the Livelihood Distribution Program of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) at Buena Park.

The beneficiaries are members of vulnerable and low-income sectors, senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), solo parents, and returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan acknowledged that most of the beneficiaries are willing to work or manage their own small businesses but are mostly prevented by their situation in life, which is why the livelihood distribution program is a good step in the right direction for them.

The City Mayor also called upon the beneficiaries to let their businesses grow and encouraged his constituents to take care of the opportunities provided by the city government to them.
