Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon recently took time to personally visit and honor three new centenarians for their extraordinary life achievement.

Joaquina Alvarez of Barangay Putatan, Libertad Gervasio of Barangay Ayala Alabang, and Barry Abella of Barangay Cupang, each received a cash incentive amounting to P100,000, along with a personal visit from the Mayor to celebrate their extraordinary life milestone.

“We are indeed very proud of our fellow Muntinlupeños who have lived fruitful lives thus far,” Biazon said. “From your City Government, our heartfelt congratulations to Lola Joaquina, Lola Libertad, and Lolo Barry!”

Ordinance No. 2018-147 mandates that Muntinlupeños who have reached the 100-year milestone are eligible to receive a cash gift amounting to P100,000 from the City Government. The Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) reviews applications and conducts interviews to determine qualified centenarians.

Accompanying Biazon for the onsite visit to the three centenarians were Zenaida Celestino of OSCA and other City Hall staff.
