Power transmission operations in Luzon are back to normal as NGCP successfully completed the restoration of lines affected by Typhoon
Egay.

Normalization of the Luzon grid came after NGCP restored the last affected San Esteban-Bangued 69kV line at 6:06 AM today, 28 July 2023.
Transmission services in other affected areas are now under normal operations.

The remaining unavailable Bantay-Banaoang 69kV line is a dedicated line connected directly to an industrial customer, the company said.

Even while the typhoon was crossing the Philippine landmass, NGCP began assessment and restoration efforts in areas already accessible.
NGCP normalized transmission services in the provinces of Benguet, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Cagayan, Ilocos Sur, and La Union.

NGCP assures the public that it is continuously monitoring weather disturbances and is ready to activate its Overall Command Center
should there be any threat to its transmission facilities.
