A fire struck a residential compound in Barangay San Dionisio in Parañaque City near the Manila-Cavite Expressway Saturday.
The blaze that reached fourth alarm started around 2:30 p.m. at Lorenzana Compound, San De Coastal, in Barangay San Dionisio.
Multiple fire trucks were seen at the area, causing heavy traffic on the northbound lane of Cavitex which reached all the way to Bacoor, Cavite.
No one was reported hurt as of press time. The fire quickly escalated to the fourth alarm in 14 minutes after it was reported, social media reports showed.
Arson investigators were looking into the cause of the blaze and the cost of the damage.
Bureau of Fire Protection records showed that most of the fires happened because of faulty electrical lines, unattended gas lamps and candles and cooking stoves and overheating appliances.
