A KEY Member of the Bangsamoro Cabinets is in New York, U.S.A. for Climate Policy and Finance Expert’s Academy slated for an undisclosed number of days.
Interior and Local Governments Minister Naguib Sinarimbo of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) confirmed on his Facebook post that he has been in Manhattan, N.Y. since June 13 from a long “backbreaking 24-hour flight (from Manila) on June 12 via Dubai.”
Prior to his BARMM post, Sinarimbo had been a peace expert consultant for the United Nations Development Programme, having actually participated in and closely studied the Bangsamoro Peace Process Experience.
“I will be attending a UN-sponsored Climate Policy and Finance for Peace Expert’s Academy for several days,” Sinarimbo said.
Sinarimbo said he will also be meeting his UN colleagues who are now based in Manhattan“Apart from this academy, I will also have meetings with UN colleagues who are now assigned here at the UN Headquarters,” he added.
