Aboitiz Power Corp. said Friday it teamed up with UnionBank of the Philippines affiliate UBX Philippines Corp. to develop MobileAP into a one-stop app via a platform called BUx and provide convenience to electricity distribution subsidiaries.
These subsidiaries integrated digital payments into their mobile application MobileAP.
“Our subscribers can do everything from getting updates about our services to checking their billing information, to bill payment, thanks to MobileAP and UBX,” said AP distribution utilities assistant vice president and bills-to-cash head Arnold Villanueva.
UBX is a leading open finance platform that allows for the secure sharing, accessing and reusing of financial data to provide a wide range of financial services.
“Aside from improving their convenience, we build upon our customers’ trust by providing them with timely and transparent information,” said Villanueva.
With BUx, online bank payments and bank transfers can be done in MobileAP.
Through the app, customers can immediately view and monitor their accounts for the past 12 months, including their respective power consumption, costs, and payment history.
They can also download a PDF copy of their records with their respective AboitizPower distribution subsidiary and even register and/or manage multiple accounts in a single app.
Aboitiz Power said the digitalization of these functions saves the customer time and effort.
Customers of the Visayan Electric Co., Davao Light and Power Co., Cotabato Light and Power Co., and the Subic and Lima EnerZones who use Apple iOS and/or Android can download MobileAP and utilize these new functions for their benefit.
