It’s indeed an early Father’s Day celebration for Korean superstar Song Joong-ki as his British wife, Katy Louise Sanders, gave birth to their first child on Wednesday, June 14.
According to his agency, High Zium Studio, the actor has officially entered a new chapter of his life with his wife and welcomed their baby boy.
“Song Joong-ki became the father of a baby boy in Italy,” the statement said.
The Reborn Rich star also shared the good news with his fans through his official fan cafe, accompanied by a photo of his son holding his finger.
“Today, I came here to greet you because I have one more piece of news that feels like a dream, and I wanted to be the first to tell you,” wrote the 37-year-old actor.
“Right now, I’m in Italy. Here, in my wife’s hometown of Rome, we happened to welcome our baby. It’s a healthy son… and both the baby and his mother… are in very good health,” he continued.
He also expressed, “I think [our son] is the most precious gift to have found its way to us, a married couple whose biggest dream all our lives was to start a happy family.”
Joong-ki also thanked his fans for the support they have always given him.
“And I think it’s thanks to the many people who gave us their support that such a happy day has found us. Thank you. I’m always grateful to the Ki Aile [Song Joong-ki’s fans] who give their sincere, unchanging love, and I, Joong Ki, will also sincerely wish for there to be great joy in all of your lives as well,” he added.
The Korean star recently finished filming his movie “My Name Is Loh Kiwan,” which was shot in Hungary, and also attended the Cannes Film Festival for his movie “Hopeless.”
Joong-ki announced his marriage to Sanders on January 30, 2023, and she was already pregnant with their first child.
