Young actress Andrea Brillantes shared a series of photos on Instagram on June 12 to commemorate the 125th Philippines Independence Day.
“Freedom in mind. Faith in words. Pride in our souls. Happy independence day,” her caption reads.
However, they may still be more to her message than simply celebrating Philippine freedom, as her recent breakup with basketball player Ricci Rivero has been the talk of the town since he confirmed their split through a Twitter post last Friday, June 9.
Rivero didn’t mention Andrea in his statement and claimed that the breakup was his fault but hoped to keep the details private by asking the public to respect their decision to remain silent about the end of their relationship.
“I am sorry for whatever disappointments it may have caused you—for everyone’s peace of mind, please allow ourselves to heal and move on peacefully without hate and pain,” he said.
