The recent Tindahan ni Aling Puring Sari-sari Store Negosyo Convention witnessed the dazzling presence of stars as Puregold celebrated small business owners nationwide. Amidst a range of exciting activities, the official press conference for Ang Lalaki sa Likod ng Profile stood out as a notable highlight on the first day.
In attendance was award-winning filmmaker and producer Chris Cahilig, who gave the welcome remarks, while director Victor Villanueva both entertained and inspired the audience as he later related his experiences behind the scenes.
Ang Lalaki sa Likod ng Profile marks the latest addition to Puregold Channel’s YouTube retailtainment lineup, following the success of GV Boys and Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask. These online series serve as a platform for Puregold to engage with young digital natives who are eager to connect with timeless Filipino narratives.
The story revolves around Bryce (Wilbert Ross), a young gamer embarking on his uncertain journey into the world of dating, with the virtual support of his wingman, Angge (Yukii Takahashi).
During the press conference, Wilbert Ross and Yukii Takahashi shared their personal insights on the story and showcased the chemistry that translated from the screen to real-life, captivating the audience. Wilbert’s impressive musical performance during the intermission further delighted the attendees.
As expected, the supporting cast of Ang Lalaki – Kat Galang (Genski), Migs Almendras (Ketch), Marissa Sanchez (Bessie), Star Orjaliza (Yaya Aimee), Moi Marcampo (Chili Anne), TJ Valderrama (Cyrus), and Anjo Resurreccion (Jerry) – were also around to field questions during the open forum.
Big surprises awaited participants at the press conference. Grocery packs worth P2,500 each were raffled off, followed by grand prizes such as brand-new smartphones and laptops.
