Tingog hands out subsidies to fire victims, students

Tingog party-list group led by Reps. Yedda Marie Romualdez and Jude Acidre, along with Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, has extended assistance to 295 fire victims in Taytay, Rizal and 1,141 student-beneficiaries in Mindanao.

“Tingog party-list in collaboration with the Marcos administration is always committed to helping our people who need assistance. That’s is our (Tingog party-list) brand of service,” Yedda Romualdez said after handing out financial assistance to individuals in crisis situation (AICS) program to the target beneficiaries.

AICS PAYOUT. Tingog party-list, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, holds an offsite Assistance for Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) payout event for fire victims in three barangays of Taytay, Rizal, as well as for over 1,000 impoverished students in Mindanao.

“We hope that our assistance will make a difference in their lives. Giving back to our people is a long-standing tradition of the Tingog party list,” Acidre said.

“We hope this act of kindness will inspire positive change,” Speaker Romualdez said. “The Marcos government is committed to working together with us to help alleviate the plight of our people.”

On Wednesday, each of the 295 fire victims in barangays Dolores, Muzon, and San Juan in Taytay received P3,000 from the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) AICS program.

The payout ceremony attended by Mayor Allan De Leon and councilors Elaine Boknay Leonardo and Patrick Alcantara was held at the San Juan Gym.

De Leon and Alcantara expressed gratitude to the Tingog party list and to the Speaker for their unwavering commitment to the financial assistance of Taytay’s residents.

In Mindanao, the group also provided financial aid to several schools and their students who are in dire need of help for their education through DSWD’s AICS.

The schools include St. Mary’s Academy of Midsayap in North Cotabato with 443 beneficiaries, Holy Cross of Digos in Davao Del Sur with 68 beneficiaries, and St. Mary’s Academy of Sta. Cruz in Davao Del Sur with 430 beneficiaries, and St. Mary’s Academy in Caraga, Davao Oriental with 200 beneficiaries.

The group distributed assistance to 1,141 beneficiaries and each of them received cash assistance of 5,000 pesos.

It is the sincere hope of all parties involved that the financial assistance will significantly alleviate the burden faced by the students and their families.
