Changan Auto’s best-selling CS35 Plus once again proves its prowess on its return to this year’s Manila International Auto Show.
Attendees of the annual motor show can catch the full story of the CS35 Plus’ remarkable 100,000-kilometer (km) endurance test and check out the original unit used for the run at its very own “Beyond the Vision” 100,000-km Zone.
“We put up this exhibit to present to the public a ‘body of proof’ to the power and durability of the CS35 Plus,” said CMPI President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo.
The endurance run saw the then-brand new and newly-arrived CS35 Plus driven for seven months through various road and weather conditions from North to South of the Philippines until it racked up a total mileage of 100,000 kilometers, equivalent to five years of usage. That’s approximately 20,000 km a year or 54 km a day.
“It’s like driving non-stop from Laoag City to Zamboanga City 29 and a half times,” added Ms. Agudo.
After the punishing drive and given the recommended PMS, the CS35 Plus emerged in peak roadworthy condition. Major components, like the engine, suspension, air conditioning system and electrical system, did not require replacing. Only the consumable PMS parts were changed–brake pads, oil, tires, wiper blades, and drive belt.

Catch the CS35 Plus endurance unit at the 100,000-km Zone in the Changan Pavilion “Beyond the Vision” display at the Manila International Auto Show until tomorrow at the World Trade Center. Also on display are the recently launched Uni-T and Uni-K lifestyle crossovers. Current favorites, the New CS35 Plus, the New CS55 Plus, and the Alsvin, are also available for viewing and test drives.
