RPMD: Singson, Marcos, De Venecia score high in Ilocos Region

The RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) completed its national survey of all House of Representatives – District Representatives members regarding their overall performance for the year 2022 after completing a comprehensive national assessment of the nation’s top government and cabinet officials.

Statistically tied, Deputy Speaker Kristine Meehan-Singson and Senior Deputy Majority Leader Ferdinand “Sandro” Marcos had the highest performance rating in the Ilocos Region at 93%. Singson represents the 2nd district of Ilocos Sur, while Marcos represents the 1st district of Ilocos Norte.

Christopher De Venecia of Pangasinan (District 4) came in second with an 89 percent rating, followed by Marlyn Primicias-Agabas of Pangasinan (District 6) with an 86 percent score, Paolo Ortega of La Union (District 1) in fourth with 84 percentage points, and Ma. Rachel Arenas of Pangasinan (District 3) is in fifth with an 82 percent assessment.

Dr. Paul Martinez, Executive Director of RPMD, stated that the ratings and rankings of each District Representative were determined by their constituents based on the following factors: “representation,” “legislation,” and “constituent service.”

The RPMD’s “Boses ng Bayan” survey also reveals that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte received high marks for their job performance in the Ilocos Region, according to the RPMD’s “Boses ng Bayan” survey. President Marcos obtained 93 percent, while Vice President Duterte earned 88 percent.

The RPMD “Boses ng Bayan” survey conducted November 27-December 2, 2022, by RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc., is an independent, non-commissioned nationwide survey per district in every region with a total of 10,000 respondents who were asked, “Do you approve or disapprove of the way [name of District Representative] is handling his/her job as Congressman/Congresswoman?”. The margin of error is plus or minus one percent.
