OKBet, Pasay LGU reach out to city’s ‘Aling Otiks’

Over 500 street sweepers of Pasay City recently received recognition for their efforts and sacrifice when OKBet, a sports book platform owned and operated by Ekxinum, Inc. partnered with the city government to give our food and safety packs during a ceremony held at the Cuneta Astrodome.

Pasay City Mayor Emmy Calixto-Rubiano, who was holding her birthday at the time, personally handed out the food and safety packs to the city’s ‘Aling Otiks’, referring to the beloved street sweeper icon in the Nonoy Marcelo pop comic strip, ‘Tisoy’.

Each food pack contained 5kgs of rice, a spaghetti package, canned goods, powdered drinks, and snacks. Over 500 boxes of face masks were also distributed.

“This activity serves as recognition of the efforts and sacrifice of the city’s street sweeping to keep the city safe and clean amidst the global pandemic,” said Mayor Calixto-Rubiano.
