CebuPac doubling flights to S. Korea

Cebu Pacific is doubling flights to South Korea to meet demand for increased frequencies from the Korean travel market as it also resumed flights to Bali, Hanoi and Sydney to bring the number of its international destinations to 16 by end-June 2022.

“Our short-term plans in the next couple of weeks, or in the next quarter, is to increase flights into Korea. We’ve already been operating Manila to Incheon twice a week since last year. We are looking to increase those operations to four times a week,” said Cebu Pacific chief commercial officer Xander Lao in a new briefing at the sidelines of the World Travel and Tourism Council Summit in Manila.

The airline also plans to relaunch the Cebu-Incheon flights in the third quarter.

“Obviously the regulatory environment in Korea has improved quite a bit. We are now seeing less quarantine restrictions even here in the Philippines. So those things that make travel easier for people are quite are strongly encouraged. So we do look forward to increasing flights internationally, not just to Korea, but restoring most of our international network,” Lao said.
