The Antipolo-based squad tallied 135 in the Molave system for its first-round score and was two up against The Forest Lodge, which pooled in 133.
NC Lanting was a shot back at 132, making it a tight race in the premier men’s group.
Monet Garcia carded 46 and was backed by Sean Bedi’s 45 and Jason Yu 42 for Forest Lodge. Scoring for NC Lanting were Goody Ignacio 48, Ramir Badua 43 and Dai tsichiya 41.
James Wright Cafe assembled a 135 to grab a six-point advantage over Baguio Blue Bloods Vikings (129) in Group II. Spann and Bunker, thanks to the 49 of Jonah Ilagan, was third with 127.
