The 42-year-old Orcollo, who has won numerous US tournaments including the 2016 US Open Straight Pool title and US Open 8-Ball Championship, was held up at the LAX on Sunday (Monday in Manila) and eventually deported for overstaying in the US.

Immigration officials informed him that he had an expired US visa. It was reportedly his second offense. Orcollo plans to seek legal advice to secure an athlete’s visa which might allow him to compete in the US again.

Orcollo is a multiple medallist in the sport, with an Asian Games gold and five Southeast Asian Games title under his name.
