Clark Freeport”•Aircraft management provider Metrojet Limited said it expects to complete its Clark hangar, parking and maintenance facility soon as it reached a milestone in terms of aviation-related works after it broke ground for the project last year.

The project sits on a 26,000-square-meter lot at the Clark Aviation Complex for its Asia-Pacific operations, considered the biggest in Asia.

The hangar facility, once completed, can accommodate up to 10 long-range business jets including Boeing Business and Airbus Corporate jets.

It said the facility would have workshops, stores, staff and customer offices and a space for a dedicated fixed-base operator.  A two-story annex building is located on the rear of the hangar.  It has  apron area and an exclusive taxiway.

The company expects to start operations in the second quarter of 2020. Metrojet said it would generate employment from “within the surrounding communities”.

“The facility will become a house for our customers and a home for our employees,” it said in a statement.

“All our employees will be from here as we are going to hire locally so that we can bring back home Filipino workers abroad and [have them] reunited with their families. We have worked with many Filipinos. They are very talented and skilled,” Metrojet said.

The stressed arch technology used in the construction of the hangar facility has been designed to the highest international standards including typhoon and seismic loadings which meet current Philippine codes.

Its system is utilized in more than 100 aircraft hangars worldwide and is known for structural stiffness, durability and cost efficiencies.

The facility will also have a fully compliant NFPA 409 fire suppression system, meeting the highest fire standards in the world.

Established in 1995, Metrojet pioneered business aviation services in Hong Kong and remains one of the most renowned safety and customer-focused business jet operators and maintenance providers in Asia Pacific. The company provides all-inclusive aircraft management, maintenance and aviation consultancy services.
