Talk 'N Text, Meralco and Barangay Ginebra all look to boost their bid for a top four finish as they plunge back to action in the 2019 Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup.

Still tied for first place, the Tropang Texters (7-1) try to solidify its bid for the top seed as they go toe-to-toe with the Gin kings (5-3) at 7 p.m. in a collosal battle today at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Bolts (6-2) aim on keeping their third ranking when they shoot for a fourth straight win against Columbian Dyip (4-5) at 4:30 p.m.

After tasting its first loss and seeing its seven-game winning streakn snapped, the Tropang Texters are reinforced and is looking to start a new era with a fresh weapon.

Super rookie Bobby Ray Parks is set to make his TNT debut against Ginebra after getting acquired in a trade with Blackwater last week.

With the absence of top star Jayson Castro, Parks is expected to fill in the void and provide a huge lift in TNT’s backcourt.

“He (Parks) is an elite talent that can help us on both ends of the floor, especially with the absence of Jayson,” said TNT active consultant Mark Dickel.

The top four teams heading to the quarterfinals will have the luxury of a twice-to-beat incentive against the lower-ranked teams.

After slipping to fifth, the Gin Kings are hoping they can bounce back against the Texters to stay in the hunt for a top four finish.

Meralco, which is sizzling hot with three straight wins, is also eyeing the same as they look to continue their winning run against the inconsistent Dyip.

The Dyip is at seventh place at the moment and it still needs several more wins to secure a berth in the quarterfinals.
