Balanga City, Bataan—Two businesses in Bataan were recently conferred the Likha ng Central Luzon Awards in the micro, small and medium enterprise category by the Department of Trade and Industry.
Amanda’s Marine Products was recognized as the 3rd 2018 Likha Top Seller and Likha Gem Award for Bataan during the opening of Likha ng Central Luzon Trade Fair 2019, said DTI Bataan information officer Teresita Magtanong.
The local smoked fish and bagoong manufacturing business had generated about P2.1 million out of more than P63.5 million sales from last year’s 167 participating MSMEs from the region.
Meanwhile, Khalimah Handicrafts and Souvenirs was conferred the Green Product Award, Magtanong said. The enterprise produces home decors and novelty items made from bamboo, promoting the culture of Bataan.
The two awardees were among the 22 MSMEs from the province that participated in the recent regional trade fair held in Mandaluyong City.
