An official of the South Luzon Tollway Corp. on Tuesday said traffic flow in the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) will return to normal by end of November.

In a radio interview over DZMM, SLTC and Skyway Operation and Maintenance Corp. president Manuel Bonoan said improvement works which resulted in the heavy traffic along SLEX, from Alabang to Skyway in Muntinlupa City, were being rushed to ease the burden on motorists.

“We will not go beyond Nov. 30. 24/7 po yung trabaho namin diyan (We work 24/7 there) and we have a very strict timetable to finish all the works dito po sa parte ng (in the area of) Skyway at-grade,” Bonoan said.

He said the vehicular congestion began on Sept. 24 when one lane in the road below Skyway was closed to make way for improvement works voluntarily undertaken by San Miguel Corp. Tollways.

The improvement works were meant to address traffic build-up from the Skyway ramp to SLEX southbound and to ease the difficulty of entering the Skyway ramp northbound.
