Masbate town vice mayor shot dead

Two still unidentified assailants shot dead Batuan town in Masbate Vice Mayor Charlie Yuson III in Sampaloc, Manila on Wednesday.

Yuson’s two companions, identified as Wilfredo Pineda and Alberto Alforte, were wounded.

The poice said the victims were eating breakfast along Vicente Cruz St. in Manila when they were ambushed.

The Manila Police District said that the suspects arrived in the area aboard a silver gray van with plate number ACM 8804.

Yuson was the 20th local government official killed since President Rodrigo Duterte assumed office in 2016.
