President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Bases Conversion and Development Authority chief Vince Dizon as his adviser for flagship programs and projects.

Dizon was assigned to his post on April 4 last year, but his appointment paper was dated Aug. 24, 2019.

A copy of his appointment paper was released to the media only on Friday.

Dizon is currently the president of BCDA, a state-run corporation which is on top of the promotion of New Clark City as the country’s first smart, green and sustainable metropolis.

Dizon, a former consultant to then-Senator and now House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, was also recently added as member of the Cabinet infrastructure cluster through Executive Order 86.

He also sat as undersecretary for political affairs of the Office of the President and chief of staff of the office of former Senator Edgardo Angara.

Administrative Order 109, signed in 1994, created the Presidential Committee on Flagship Programs and Projects.

The order cited the “critical need for a more focused and highly selective intervention along very strategic areas to catalyze the economic surge and optimize available resources.”
