After his short yet significant stint in the afternoon sexy drama, Los Bastardos, Geoff Eigenmann takes on his biggest role since his return to ABS-CBN as he teams up for the first time with prime actress Maja Salvador.
In the upcoming series The Killer Bride, the 34-year-old actor plays Vito Dela Cuesta, a musician who falls in love with Camila Dela Torre (Maja Salvador). Their love story will take an unexpected turn as he sees his soon-to-be wife drenched in blood while holding a knife beside his brother’s dead body.
“The character is very interesting. He’s got a lot of flaws and his being torn between choosing what he loves and what his family tells him to do makes him a relatable character,” Geoff told Manila Standard in an interview.
“I guess at one point in our lives, we would face that kind of dilemma. I personally experienced that, but of course I’d like to keep it to myself. It’s too personal to share that with the public,” he added.
Geoff is thankful for the opportunity to be part of the series’ grand ensemble of actors and looks forward to gain more experience as an actor.
“I’m happy to be back and to be part of the whole show. I’m also very excited for the challenges coming my way,” said Geoff.
Geoff considers this partnership with Maja a long time coming but is happy it happened at this time. “We are very comfortable with each other since we are already friends for a long time. However, this will be the first time that will be (onscreen) partners, and I think this is the perfect time for us.”
Apart from Geoff and Maja, also starring The Killer Bride are Janella Salvador as Emma, the woman who claims she is possessed by Camila, and Joshua Garcia as Elias, Vito’s right hand who will protect the Dela Cuestas at all costs, including from Emma.
The cast also includes Dominic Ochoa, Loren Burgos, Alexa Ilacad, Eric Nicolas, Keanna Reeves, Eddie Gutierrez, Aurora Sevilla, Cris Villanueva, James Blanco, Lara Quigaman, Ariella Arida, and Sam Concepcion. The series is directed by Dado Lumibao.
The Killer Bride will air soon on ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN HD (SkyCable ch 167).
